Over the summer I purchased Hip Hop Abs from Beach Body and with the DVDs they sent this Food Ladder:
I had never seen anything like this but was very interested. Needless to say I went through and highlighted all the foods I'm eating now and I'm very happy to report that my diet consists of foods from Tier 1 & 2 with a few foods from Tier 3! No Tier 4 & 5 for this girl!! :) I also really liked how this ladder shows what category each food falls into: protein, carb or fat. This really helps when I'm trying to create balanced meals and snacks that each have some protein, carbs and (healthy) fats.
Speaking of fats, I plan on researching healthy fats (EFAs=Essential Fatty Acids) over the next few days to learn more about them and will hopefully find lots of helpful info to put on my blog!
